Spring is in full bloom at Olmito Veterinary Hospital 🌸🐾

School breaks are always a special time here because we get to welcome professional veterinary students, university students, and high school students who stop in during their time off. Watching young people from our community explore veterinary medicine and gain hands-on learning experiences is something we truly value.

We’re incredibly grateful to have a fully functional hospital that allows us to provide these opportunities—something we didn’t have while growing up in South Texas. Being able to give back and help inspire the next generation of animal care professionals means the world to us.

Thank you to all the students who spend part of their break learning with us. We’re excited to be part of your journey! 🌿🐶🐱

We are so excited to be hosting TWO 3rd year veterinary students from Texas A&M University during their spring break. 🌼👩‍⚕️

They chose to spend their only week off gaining experience in the hospital, and we’d love your help supporting their education. If your pet is due for an exam, spay, neuter, or dental procedure, consider scheduling for March 9-13th.

If you’ve noticed our familiar faces away this week, it’s for a great reason! Dr. De Leon and Dr. Chavarria are attending the largest veterinary conference of the year for the 3rd time. They’re diving into advanced learning alongside some of the most innovative veterinarians in the field—all to better serve our patients and community. ❤️🐾

While they’re away, we’re excited to share that their mentor, Dr. Rangel—one of our community favorites—will be the attending veterinarian this week! Our hospital remains open Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. ❤️🐾
