🐾 A Paw-sitively Purr-fect Day — Part 2 🐾

The joy from our visit to the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center didn’t end when we left. Back at Olney Memory Care by Artis, our residents continued sharing stories, favorite moments, and smiles from their time with the animals.

From sweet cats to playful pups, the connections made brought comfort, conversation, and smiles throughout the day. We’re grateful for experiences that create lasting moments and strengthen our community bonds. 💛

🐾 A Paw-sitively Purr-fect Day 🐾

Today, our residents at Olney Memory Care by Artis enjoyed a heartwarming outing to the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center!

We connected with our community in the sweetest way—through the love of animals.

From playful dogs and gentle cats to curious birds and adorable rabbits, our residents lit up with joy visiting each furry (and feathered!) friend.

It was truly meaningful to see each animal one step closer to their forever home and to share moments of comfort, laughter, and compassion with them. Experiences like this remind us how powerful the bond between humans and animals can be. 💛

Thank you to the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center for welcoming us—we can’t wait to visit again!

Today our residents tapped into their artistic side as we created beautiful autumn wreaths! From warm fall colors to festive seasonal accents, each wreath reflected personal style, creativity, and a whole lot of joy.

We love watching our residents light up during hands-on projects like this — it’s all about expression, connection, and fun. 🧡✨

🥧 Pumpkins, Paint, & Pie—Oh My! 🥧

We had the sweetest time at our Paint & Pie Social this week! Our residents spent the afternoon enjoying delicious cherry pie while creating their very own 3D pumpkin masterpieces. 🍒🎃

The room was full of laughter, creativity, and bright fall colors as everyone painted, shared stories, and connected over art. Moments like these are what make our community shine! ✨

A big thank you to our residents, families, and team members who joined us for this cozy and creative celebration. We love making memories—one acrylic pen (and one slice of pie!) at a time. 💛

🍁🎶 A Musical Morning at Olney! 🎶🍁

We had the sweetest visit from the children at Children in the Shoe, and our residents were absolutely delighted! Together, we enjoyed a lively musical exercise session followed by an Autumn Jam Session filled with rhythm, movement, and plenty of smiles. 💛

Watching the kids and residents connect through music was truly heartwarming — laughter, clapping, dancing, and joyful energy filled the entire room. These intergenerational moments mean so much to our community and remind us how powerful music can be. 🎤🥁🍂

🍦✨ Flavorful Fun with Mad Libs & Ice Cream ✨🍦

Today our residents enjoyed a sweet and creative afternoon at our Ice Cream Social! We shared delicious scoops, laughed together, and explored our imaginations in the best way.

Our residents completed Ice Cream–themed Mad Libs, creating silly stories that had the whole room smiling. From flying sundaes to dancing crickets, the creativity was overflowing!

We also dove into some truly untraditional (and real!) ice cream flavors from around the country — including Everything Bagel, Sweet Corn & Blueberry, and even Lobster Ice Cream! The reactions were priceless and sparked great conversation.

🌟🎨 Placemats with Personality! 🎨🌟

Our residents had a wonderful time designing their very own placemats, each one decorated with pictures of their favorite hobbies and passions. From gardening and music to pets, travel, and sports—every placemat told a story! 💛

This activity sparked great conversations, memories, and smiles as residents shared what they love most. We can’t wait to use these special placemats in our dining room and celebrate the individuality of each person in our community.

🍝🥗 Out to Lunch at Olive Garden! 🥗🍝

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon out at Olive Garden, and it was the perfect mid-week treat! We indulged in their delicious lunch special — unlimited breadsticks, fresh salad, delicious soup, and pasta.

While we waited for our meals, we kept the fun going by playing a few light table games together. The laughter, the friendly competition, and the conversations made the outing even more special.

It was a beautiful day filled with great food, great company, and special moments. We love giving our residents opportunities to enjoy their favorite restaurants and create moments of joy in the community. 💛

🥒💚 National Pickle Day at Olney! 💚🥒

We had an absolutely dill-lightful time celebrating National Pickle Day with our very own Pickle Festival! Residents, families, and staff enjoyed a full spread of pickle-themed treats, including a variety of classic and flavored pickles, pickle pizza, pickle lemonade, pickle chips, and even pickle cotton candy with live music!

The highlight of the day was our Director of Life Enrichment, who made a surprise appearance dressed as a giant pickle! 🥒 Our residents couldn’t stop laughing and it brought so much joy to the whole community.

It was truly a big dill! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this fun and flavorful celebration! 💚

We had the sweetest visitor today—our favorite furry friend, Trixie!

Our residents light up the moment she walks in, and her gentle pets and warm cuddles always brighten the day.
