If your heel pain feels extra rude in December…you’re not imagining it. Cold weather makes the plantar fascia tighten, so those first steps in the morning can feel like your feet are personally offended. 😬

Warm socks, supportive shoes at home, and avoiding long stretches of barefoot time can make a big difference this month.

It takes one slick sidewalk in Chicago to turn a normal walk into an accidental figure-skating routine. If you’ve had a few “almost wiped out” moments already…you’re not alone. 😅

Icy slips are one of the biggest causes of ankle sprains this time of year.
If you twist, roll, or land funny — even if it “seems fine” — pain can show up a day or two later.

When in doubt, get it checked. Your ankle shouldn’t feel like it’s auditioning for a weather report.

Holiday Travel Foot Checklist:
• Wear supportive shoes (skip the flimsy slip-ons)
• Stretch your calves and ankles during long travel days
• Stand and move every 60–90 minutes
• Use compression socks if you experience swelling
• Keep your feet warm — cold muscles tighten and ache faster
• Stay hydrated (it helps circulation more than people think)
