Today is Equal Pay Day! According to Hand in Hand, equal pay for women and creating more fairness in home care are two peas in a pod.

It is most often women who reduce work to care for family members when they can't afford help. And this has consequences: lower wages, retirement savings, and lifetime earnings. What if there was more public investment in making home care accessible and affordable!? Better for home care workers, and better for family caregivers.

Let's use this reminder of how far we've come and how far we still need to go to fuel our passion and our work.

We turned a substantial profit in 2o25 and today i passed out $34K in patronage refund checks to 12 member owners ranging from $120-$6,000! We had a beautiful Annual Meeting at Octapas. Meet our new Board! Deeply grateful for the empowerment and connection we experience through our mission driven work. Relational work IS anti-oppression work.
