To anyone who reads my page and my very inconsistent postings, I wanted to share this because it shows the job of the ilea cocal valve and the appendix in our immune systems, as well as potty habits. It also shows relationships among various modalities in healing arts and sciences. Stay healthy. Practice wellness.
In english below……
A small walk through 2 important areas in the colon 😊
The ileocecal valve is a sphincter located in the transition between the small intestine and the large intestine. It is one of the three sphincters in the intestinal system. The function is to open and close when the food has to pass from the small intestine to the large intestine. It must also ensure that the contents of the colon do not run back and into the small intestine. Traditionally, it can be treated for various stomach problems - including constipation, diarrhea and bloating.
However, the transition between the two intestines is found in front of the Psoas on the right side - and problems in one can thus trigger problems in the other. This knowledge is utilized, among other things, by osteopaths.
The IC valve is connected to the spine in the middle and also at the top via the autonomic nervous system.
Osteopaths therefore often treat the IC valve in connection with neck pain, back pain, groin and hip problems. Kinesiologists treat it in the case of migraines, headaches, pain in the shoulders, frozen shoulder, dizziness, adrenal residue, sinusitis and fatigue. Maybe we should consider it as a part of the treatment to, when clients appear with such problems.
A little below the IC valve we find the Appendix. For many years considered an area without function. But as usual, there is a meaning to everything in the body. Now we know that it seems to act as a reservoir for good bacteria and that the Appendix contains lymphoid tissue which, among other things, helps with the maturation of B lymphocytes and that it is thus part of the body's immune system.
