Around The Circle Midwifery at The Birth House The midwives of Around the Circle Midwifery offer individualized maternity care for low risk women planning to deliver in the home or birth center setting.

Around the Circle Midwifery, LLC, nestled in a historic 1909 Victorian house in Olympia, Washington, is the oldest licensed midwifery practice in the South Puget Sound area. We know that no machine can replace the watchful eye and loving hand of a skilled midwife. So, we have created a welcoming environment that provides the coziness of home with the competence of thorough, comprehensive care. Pregnancy is an enormous journey that deserves the attention, support, and honor of a capable and caring practitioner. Adjacent to the comfortable setting of Around the Circle Midwifery’s offices is Olympia’s premier free-standing birth center. With two birth suites, birth tubs, and family-centered care, it will be less than 2 miles from the hospital. You are welcome to stop by and visit us!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the picnic today, to Michelle and Megan for being on-call and taking care of the midwifery work of the day, and Jay for always serving up burgers and dogs for everyone. It was a great day with lots of babies and smiles. Seeing families come together and support each other is the best!

Thank you to everyone who supported the legislative efforts this year. I am happy to share the birth center bill passed and was signed by the governor this week!

Congratulations, Washington birth centers on the passing of HB1824!

As a refresher, members of AABC's Washington Association of Birth Centers showed up and provided testimony in support of this bill at the Washington House Health Care & Wellness Committee this Valentine's Day. It has now been signed into law by Governor Bob Ferguson!

This bill allows CABC Accreditation to substitute for DOH inspections, which streamlines the inspection process and supports the sustainability of birth centers! Woo hoo!

We are so proud of our WABC members for all of their hard work.
