🐾 Meet Grace! 🐾
Grace is a 2-year-old mixed breed referred to PT by Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center following a left TPLO performed on 11/10/25.
Grace first became lame on her left hind limb in August 2025 after a fun day at dog daycare. The lameness initially improved with rest but returned during play. She was evaluated by her primary veterinarian and referred for an orthopedic consult at Sirius, where surgery was recommended to address her CCL injury.
Grace underwent her left TPLO on 11/10/25 and is now beginning her rehab journey! 💪🐶
Her family’s goals for PT include:
✨ Assessing overall strength and symmetry
✨ Improving muscle mass and stability
✨ Ensuring proper limb use during activity
✨ Reducing risk of injury to the opposite hind limb
✨ Safely returning to full activity and play
We’re excited to help Grace rebuild strength and confidence so she can get back to doing what she loves—running and playing safely! 🐕💛

🐾 Meet Daisy! 🐾
Daisy is an 11-year-old Airedale Terrier referred to PT by Valley View Veterinary Clinic for concerns related to spondylosis and ongoing mobility decline.
Daisy first began showing mobility changes in August 2024 when her family noticed a limp. She was evaluated by her primary veterinarian and referred to Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center for an orthopedic consult. At that time, she was diagnosed with a right CCL tear, and surgical intervention was recommended.
Daisy underwent a right TPLO on 8/29/24 and initially showed improvement following surgery. However, in early 2025, her mobility began to decline again. She was reevaluated by her primary veterinarian and managed medically, but continued difficulties led to a follow-up with Sirius on 8/25/25.
At that visit, radiographs and exam findings indicated the TPLO site and joint looked stable, but the patellar ligament appeared swollen. PT was recommended to address a suspected patellar tendon injury. Mild left hip dysplasia was also noted.
Currently, Daisy is struggling with:
🐾 Hesitation to manage deck stairs
🐾 Occasional dragging of the left hind limb
🐾 Decreased endurance on walks
Daisy is now in PT to improve strength, comfort, and limb use so she can:
✨ Navigate stairs more confidently
✨ Use her left hind limb without limping
✨ Enjoy longer walks with her family
We’re excited to help Daisy regain her confidence and keep her moving comfortably! 💛🐶

🐾 Meet Annie! 🐾
Annie is a sweet 14-year-old Cocker Spaniel referred to PT by Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center for bilateral CCL tears.
Annie’s mobility concerns began on 11/6/25 when she woke up unable to bear weight on her right hind limb. She was evaluated by her primary veterinarian that same day and referred for an orthopedic consult. Further evaluation revealed severe arthritis in both stifles, along with a heart murmur.
Due to her heart condition, surgical treatment options are limited. A conservative management plan consisting of medication and physical therapy was recommended to keep Annie as comfortable and mobile as possible. 💕
Annie is now participating in PT to help:
✨ Improve overall mobility
✨ Increase strength and stability
✨ Navigate stairs more independently
✨ Enhance her quality of life at home
We’re so proud of this resilient girl and are excited to help her stay active and comfortable in her golden years! 🐶💛

🐾 Meet Lucy! 🐾
Lucy is an 11-year-old Golden Retriever referred by Southpaw Veterinary Clinic for left knee crepitus (clicking) and a left CCL injury.
Lucy’s issues first began in late June 2025 after she yelped while playing in the yard and became non–weight bearing. At that time, she was evaluated and given medication for a suspected hip sprain which she recovered from with only intermittent episodes of lameness. On 1/1/26, Lucy was playing in the yard again when she reinjured her leg but her owners noticed she would not bear weigh again and avoided the stairs.
She was evaluated by her primary care veterinarian on 1/1/26, where a physical exam revealed a positive cranial drawer in the left stifle, consistent with a CCL injury. Surgical and conservative options were discussed, and Lucy’s family elected to pursue physical therapy.
✨ Lucy is now working on her rehab journey with her goals to improve comfort and strength, navigate stairs more confidently, and return to longer walks with her dog siblings.
We’re excited to help Lucy on her rehab journey! 💛🐶

🐾 Meet Bella! 🐾
Bella is a 10-year-old Pomeranian referred by Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center following a left femoral head ostectomy (L FHO). Around Thanksgiving, Bella unfortunately sustained an injury when she was accidentally stepped on.
She was first evaluated by her veterinarian, where radiographs revealed a left hip dislocation. A consultation with Sirius followed, and Bella underwent L FHO surgery on 12/11/25.
💗 Since surgery, Bella’s family reports she is doing better and using her left leg more often. She is now starting physical therapy to help her fully recover strength, mobility, and function in her left back limb so she can return to comfortable, confident movement!
We’re excited to help Bella continue her recovery journey! ✨🐶

🐾 Meet Bliss! 🐾
Bliss is an 8-year-old Portuguese Water Dog referred by VCA for physical therapy following a T12–T13 traumatic disc rupture.
On 10/21/25, Bliss was running after a rabbit when she yelped and became unable to move her back legs. She was taken to the ER, where she was evaluated and hospitalized overnight. An MRI performed the next day confirmed an intervertebral disc rupture at T12–T13 with spinal cord compression, Bliss was medically managed with strict kennel rest.
✨ Fortunately, Bliss has made steady improvements and is now using her left back limb, while the right remains intermittently weak with occasional knuckling and fatigue.
Bliss is starting physical therapy to build strength, improve coordination, and return as close to her baseline as possible. We’re excited to support her continued recovery! 🐶💙

🐾 Meet Huxley! 🐾
Huxley is a 7-year-old Beagle mix referred by Tomorrow Veterinary for cervical IVDD. His mobility issues began in May 2025 after a suspected fall off the couch, causing significant neck pain and reluctance to move.
After initial improvement with medicine and rest, Huxley has continued to experience intermittent flare-ups often triggered by play or certain movements. Recently, his family has noticed increased neck stiffness and muscle spasms, and medications have been less effective.
💙 Huxley is now beginning physical therapy to help reduce pain, improve comfort and mobility, and decrease future flare-ups so he can get back to feeling his best. 🐶✨

Klaus started PT because he was having mobility issues related to arthritis in his shoulders and wrist. Arthritis typically results in abnormal movement of a joint which can flare up with strenuous activity. To minimize his flare ups, we focused on exercises that strengthen and stabilize the joints of the front limbs for more comfortable movement. Great job Klaus! 💪

Noah is working hard in PT to strengthen his back muscles after a back injury and surgery. The goal of this exercise is to engage the back muscles (paraspinals) to strengthen and stabilize the spine. We are very proud of his progress!👏🙌
