Autonomy while aging remains important even with a diagnosis of dementia.

While aging in place may no longer be an option for some, the ability to maintain some autonomy remains crucial and a new living community for those with dementia aims to preserve this.
Modeled after what has been done in other countries, a Wisconsin community is developing a dementia village.

The residential community is underway in Wisconsin, and will resemble a neighborhood, not a nursing home

A big part of being able to age in place is staying healthy. Vaccinations are a critical component of maintaining your health.

Now is the time for vaccinations. Covid and Flu vaccinations require annual boosters, but RSV is a 'one-and-done'.

For those in the 50+ age range, there are also vaccinations available for shingles and pneumonia.

Check with your doctor to see which vaccinations are recommended for you.
