For over 30 years as an industrial technology teacher, Jeff Shield inspired high school students to imagine and create. Now, Jeff is using that same innovation and fortitude to get his own life back on track.

With QLI team members like his physical therapist, Connor Davis, and Kevin Houston from Life Path Services, Jeff is poised to make a triumphant return to his job, home, and family back in Kearney, Nebraska.

This week, Team QLI was proud as we watched our President and CEO, Nash Mahupete, Maria Lighthall, Aaron Mason and representatives from Ambassador Health and Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital testify in favor of legislative bill 1091.

We believe this bill is essential as it will ensure countless Nebraskans like the ones we serve receive the care and rehabilitation they desperately need after a catastrophic injury.

We are grateful for the engagement of numerous stakeholders throughout this process, including members of our legislature, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Medicaid program.
