Self-regulation isn’t about being calm all the time—it’s about having tools to come back to yourself when things feel overwhelming.
Try this:
• Pause and take 3 slow breaths
• Name what you’re feeling (without judgment)
• Ground yourself—notice 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch
• Move your body, even just a little
Small moments of awareness can create big shifts over time. You don’t have to do it perfectly—just start where you are.
