Today, we stand in solidarity with our community. I can't sit idly by as our neighbors are being kidnapped, murdered, and beaten in the streets for exercising their constitutional rights. We must stand as one, as we are stronger together. Take time today to educate yourself on your constitutional rights, protest economically, and/or use your voice to speak out. Have a blessed day! 🤍

S.A.D., also known as seasonal affective disorder, is in full effect with the winter weather. 😞❄️

Here are five ways that you can cope with S.A.D.:
1. Socialize: This weather makes everyone want to stay warm within their homes, but it's important to socialize. Socializing with others will improve your mental health and fight your feelings of loneliness.
2. Improve your sleep cycle: Sticking to a sleep routine will help you process your emotions, improve your concentration, and help you stay calm under stress.
3. Exercise: When we exercise, we are reducing levels of stress and anxiety AND releasing feel-good endorphins. These two combined will help you combat S.A.D.!
4. Use a light box: Using a light box in the morning can help trick your brain into thinking you're being exposed to sunlight. This effect helps you cope with S.A.D..
5. Open the blinds: The natural light flooding into your home will help improve your mental health and let your brain know it is daytime.

Do you know someone who struggles with S.A.D.? Share this post with them to help with their winter blues.

Today, we are remembering the impact that Martin Luther King Jr. had on our community. He helped open doors for people of color that were once bolted shut.

Even though he’s gone, his work and inspiration still flows through our communities. Let’s take a page out of his book and dream big while standing strong on our rights. Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! 🤍✊🏾

It's easy to say you want to be different, but putting action behind it can be challenging. Here are 4 things you should be doing to kick your bad habits in 2026!

1. Make a game plan: Write down how you want to stop your bad habit.
2. Set small, achievable goals: Everyone wants to go big or go home, but that's not realistic when it comes to breaking habits. Setting smaller goals to reach your end goal will help keep you motivated.
3. Identify your triggers: Figure out why you are doing your bad habits. This will help you avoid letting your triggers win.
4. Stay consistent: Keep pushing even when you don't want to! Your future self will thank you. You've got this!

Let's leave our bad habits in 2025! ✨

✨Yoga Pose of the Day: Garland Pose✨

Garland pose, also known as Malsana, is a deep squat pose that will stretch your ankles, thighs, and back. Alongside stretching, it also stimulates proper digestion and helps with grounding yourself.

If you aren't able to touch your heels to the ground, you can put a blanket under your heels or sit on a block.

Give your body and good stretch and try Malasa today!🧘🏽‍♀️
