Our bodies are not very efficient at reproduction 💛

At your peak fertility in your 20s, the chance of getting pregnant in any given month is about 20%. By age 35, that drops to around 15%. By 40, it is less than 5% per month. So if you are struggling to get pregnant, you aren't failing; it's simply how human biology works. Care, answers, and options are available.

Why does double board-certification matter when seeking fertility care? 🤔

While a physician (MD or DO) who completed residency in OB-GYN can offer basic fertility evaluations and treatments, they cannot be considered a fertility specialist unless they have completed REI fellowship training and been double board-certified.

For patients, double board certification is the key to quality. It indicates:

✔️ Higher standards of care
✔️ Experience with advanced reproductive technology

Navigating the holidays while going through fertility treatment can feel overwhelming. Here are a few tips to help you care for yourself this season:

1.) Set boundaries for events and conversations. It is completely ok to decline invitations, leave early, or step away from topics that feel heavy.

2.) Spend time with those who support you. Choose the people and traditions that make you feel understood, calm, and cared for.

3.) Protect your sleep. Rest helps regulate hormones, reduce stress, and support your overall well-being during treatment.

4.) Give yourself grace. You are navigating something significant and emotionally complex. Let this season be gentle and allow yourself to feel whatever comes up.
