Lemon Chicken
Lemon chicken is one of the easiest healthiest recipes to make for the family. The recipe is simply chicken breast, lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, oregano, thyme and salt. My family loves it. The citrus notes really tenderize the chicken too.

At home, I usually pair this with some kind of stir fried cauliflower with other rosemary uplifting notes. You can also make baked lemon cauliflower with the exact same recipe.

Pain Relieving Patches
Tiger Balm is a company that is a natural medicine legacy. The company makes pain relieving topical balms and patches. The company has been around for over a 150 years. The original formula was created by a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1870 in Burma. His two children improved upon the formula to make it better. It is now a worldwide formula.

It is a natural product that has camphor, menthol, capsacian and other essential oils. Capsacian is a cayenne pepper extract.

Does it relieve pain? Yes! The "Cooling" variety has more mints in it. The "Heating" variety has high amounts of cayenne in it. This is the first pain relieving patch in the world. It is the standard that all others still copy today.

Loup River Summer Fun
I was missing swimming and kayaking the amazing rivers of Nebraska this winter. I found a fun video from this summer of our trip to the Loup River. This is one of the most kid friendly, spring fed rivers around. Gentle, slow and shallow. Perfect for families with kids to explore.

Winter, Turtles & Rejuvenation
Winter is the season to rest, relax and slow down. It is the traditional season to rejuvenate the body and mind. The winter solstice is the historical turning point. A time to rest, plan for the new year and enjoy the previous busy years activities.

The turtle is the traditional symbol of rejuvenation and long healthy life. This video demonstrates this relationship.

Berberine
Berberine is a common supplement. It is also highly processed. The absorption of berberine supplements is about 1%. Yes, it is only 1%.

Berberine is one of many alkaloids in goldenseal roots. Hydrastine and other compounds in goldenseal improve the natural bioavailability of the berberine. Goldenseal root capsules or tinctures create a much stronger therapeutic effect than berberine supplements.

Goldenseal is also an endangered plant. We only use or advocate taking goldenseal roots that are farm raised or certified organically grown. This also supports the farmers too!

There are over 200 other compounds in goldenseal roots. These compounds create other benefits. Most the health concerns people take berberine to support, would get a better benefit by taking whole plant goldenseal root supplements.

Pioneer Hospital & Medicine
Most Nebraskans do not know that we have one of the coolest pioneer hospital museums in the US. Fort Hartsuff State Historical Park is by Ord, Nebraska. It is a completely preserved old pioneer military fort. It has a completely preserved old military hospital. This includes historically accurate herbal medicines. It is a very cool historical site.
