Plugged ducts are THE WORST. Let's talk about sunflower lecithin. 🌻

If you've had a plugged duct, you know how painful and frustrating they can be. You know that feeling when your breast feels like there's a marble stuck in there? Yeah, it SUCKS.

One thing I discuss with families who experience recurrent plugged ducts is sunflower lecithin—a fat emulsifier that helps keep the fats in your milk from clumping together.

So what does that mean?

Think of it like keeping your milk flowing smoothly rather than getting "traffic jams" in those ducts (remember that dad joke? 😄). It helps reduce the "stickiness" of milk, which many parents have found helpful in preventing those painful blockages from coming back.

Before you give it a try:

-Chat with your healthcare provider first (I'm not a doctor, just your friendly neighborhood LC!)
-Sunflower lecithin is generally considered safe, but YOU know your body best
-It works alongside other strategies—gentle massage, ice, frequent nursing, and addressing the root cause
