Today is Funeral Director & Mortician Recognition Day. We're honored to highlight Maranda Price, Funeral Director at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, a valued partner of Live On Nebraska.

Maranda shared that supporting families through organ and tissue donation can bring meaning even in the most difficult moments. She recalled caring for a family who found comfort in knowing their loved one’s generosity would help others live. “Supporting families through the donation process reminds me that even in loss, there can be hope and purpose,” she said.

Maranda also reminds us that end-of-life care is about honoring a person’s life and legacy. When someone chooses to be a donor, their story continues through the lives they touch.

Good Shepherd Funeral Home has long been known for its commitment to community care. We’re grateful for their continued partnership, including our recent collaboration with North Omaha Community Partnership to offer community workshops on end-of-life planning and legacy conversations.
