Through our partnership with Live Well. Go Fish., 8 Omaha Metro communities took residents out on the water, fishing from fully accessible boats — something many hadn’t done in years, or thought they’d never do again.

This is Living Better.

At home, opportunities can become limited.
In a community, possibilities open up.

We are proud of our Life Enrichment teams for continuing to create experiences that bring independence, joy, and meaning back into everyday life!

We love to see signs of spring in our communities! Here in Nebraska, where Heritage Communities is headquartered, the trees and plants are leafing out and the residents are getting the gardens started!

This week we brought all of our Executive Directors together for our annual ED retreat, and spent time together focusing on one of our core values: always learning.

It was a chance to step away from the day-to-day, share ideas, and learn from each other - what’s working, what’s not, and where we can grow.

Lucky for us, another one of our core values is also FUN. We made sure to have a lot of that along the way this week as well!

We are beyond grateful for this group of EDs who selflessly give to their residents and team member each and every day.

Happy Earth Day from Heritage Communities! 🌍 Whether it's tending a garden, enjoying a nature walk, or simply opening the windows and letting the spring air in… every little act of appreciation for our planet matters.

Here are a few of our favorite ways to celebrate with the seniors in your life:

- Start a small container garden on a porch or patio
- Share a favorite nature memory over a cup of coffee
- Take a walk and collect interesting leaves, flowers, or rocks
- Donate gently used items together to reduce waste
- Bird watch from a window or outdoor chair

Our Directors of Sales are often the very first connection families make in senior living. They’re the steady, compassionate guides who help make what can feel like an overwhelming search process feel a little more manageable. Whether it’s answering questions first thing in the morning, late in the evening, or even on weekends, they show up with patience, understanding, and a genuine desire to help each family find the right fit.

But their role goes far beyond the search. They take the time to truly get to know future residents and their families - learning their stories, their preferences, and what matters most beyond medical conditions. It’s through these meaningful connections that trust is built and comfort begins. We’re so grateful for the heart, dedication, and care our Directors of Sales bring to every interaction.

This group represents just a small portion of the many compassionate team members across our Heritage locations who are dedicated to helping families every step of the way.

Another beautiful day to serve our communities! This home office crew made their way to Council Bluffs, IA for another round of Dirty Jobs yesterday.

It was a great day full of painting indoors and cleaning up outdoors, while spending time with residents and associates at The Heritage at Fox Run!
