Are you a current AuD student or do you know an AuD student interested in translational research? This is an excellent opportunity for AuD students to obtain significant exposure to research in an active laboratory conducting research related to clinical and experimental audiology, and may be of particular interest to ​students who are considering pursuing a PhD!

2026 will be the 20th consecutive year of training AuD students in research at BTNRH. Over 75% of the T35 students who have completed their research training at BTNRH have first-authored or co-authored publications in top-tier journals.

We are proud to share that Boys Town National Research Hospital has been selected as a recipient of the Imagine Grant: Go Further, Faster Award from
Amazon Web Services (AWS), receiving a Pathfinder Generative AI award.

This award supports our work to improve pediatric hearing care by using machine learning to predict ear canal shape and acoustics through simple, non-invasive measurements. By combining generative AI with 3D printing, we can create custom hearing aid earmolds without traditional ear impressions, making the process more comfortable for children, reducing clinic visits, and delivering precisely fitted hearing aids to those who need them.

We are grateful to have collaborated with AWS through this award as we continue advancing research and innovation that helps children hear better.

We owe a big shoutout and thank you to the for letting us borrow their van for our first mobile research visit last week! 🚐 We were able to drive and see a family with 5 kids under 5. We got lots of data collection done all in the convenience of the family‘s driveway!

Thank you to the Omaha Southwest YMCA for letting us host a tabling event on the final soccer Saturday of the season! Our balloon arch held strong despite the wind & we were able to talk with interested families about research participation opportunities! Plus the lollipops were a huge hit. 🍭🦻
