Can RLE be reversed? Short answer: no. Better answer: it doesn't need to be. 👁️

RLE isn't reversible — but the lens it replaces was already failing you. The artificial lens that goes in is designed to last. Lens exchange is possible if ever needed, but for most patients, RLE a one-and-done procedure.

SMILE and LASIK are *both* laser vision correction — but they're not the same procedure, and they might not be right for the same eyes.

The difference comes down to how each one works.

LASIK creates a corneal flap to reshape the tissue beneath. SMILE skips the flap, using a tiny keyhole incision to remove a small disc of tissue from inside the cornea. Less surface disruption, more corneal structure preserved.

Neither is the "right" procedure.

Yesterday, we celebrated the incredible career of our Modern Vision Group COO, Cornelia Vremes, as she prepares to take on a new challenge leading a home health company as their CEO in the coming weeks.

Cornelia has been an exceptional leader and a driving force behind the growth and success of not only Kugler Vision, but all of our partner practices in the Modern Vision Group. She first joined us as COO of Kugler Vision in 2019, and since 2021, she has executed the vision of Modern Vision Group as COO with commitment and excellence.
