3% Hypertonic Saline given will help to decrease intracranial pressure by causing a diffusion gradient to draw fluid out of the head to level out blood electrolyte levels.

During transport we give 250 mL of 3% over 10 minutes. And for pediatrics we give 3mL/kg, also over 10 minutes.
