Meet Jackie McNichols, A.P.R.N.

Jackie has been an employee with Omaha OB/GYN Associates since 1997. She began her career as an office nurse but decided to advance her education, graduating from UNMC College of Nursing in 2004 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She then earned her certification from NCC as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Fortunately, she was able to continue her career in this advanced role at the place she had come to love.

Jackie chose Women’s Health because of her special interest in the unique health needs of women across all ages. She especially enjoys caring for women struggling with fertility and supporting pregnant women as they prepare to bring their babies into the world. With firsthand understanding of , Jackie brings empathy and a strong commitment to supporting a smoother transition through this often challenging stage of life.

Over the course of her career, she has also had the privilege of precepting numerous students as they prepare for advanced careers in healthcare.

Meet Wendy Salado, APRN.

Wendy brings a strong foundation of clinical expertise and a passion for women’s health to her practice. She earned her Master of Science and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse degree from the UNMC College of Nursing and is board certified in Women’s Health Care.

Before joining Omaha OB/GYN, Wendy gained valuable experience at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she cared for patients in both Pediatrics and the Labor & Delivery department—building a well-rounded perspective on patient care across the lifespan.

She remains deeply committed to professional growth and excellence as an active member of Nebraska Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International, reflecting her dedication to advancing the field and providing exceptional care to the community.

Meet Katie Linehan, APRN.

Katie earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing and is board-certified in Women’s Health Care. She brings valuable clinical experience from her time as a Labor & Delivery nurse at Nebraska Medical Center, where she developed a strong foundation in supporting women through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
She is an active member of both the Nebraska Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, reflecting her ongoing commitment to excellence and professional growth in women’s healthcare.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Katie is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), providing specialized support and guidance to mothers throughout their breastfeeding journey.

Meet Dr. Ankita Sarawagi!

Dr. Sarawagi received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE in 2020. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI in 2024. During residency, she received an Outstanding Medical Student Teacher Award and a research award for her project on ways to improve Intimate Partner Violence screening in OBGYN clinics.
She enjoys the whole breadth of what OBGYN has to offer including taking care of women throughout their lives, but also has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics including managing hypertensive diseases and diabetes during pregnancy.
In addition to caring for her patients, Dr. Sarawagi enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs and is trying to master the art of sourdough in her free time.

Meet Dr. Andrea Leishman-Barb!

Andrea Leishman-Barb, DO is at Board Certified OB/GYN and a deeply passionate advocate for women’s well-being. Annie grew up in Kansas and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for undergraduate. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She is committed to education and collaboration with her patients in all aspects of their health and phases of life. Her scope of practice includes general gynecology, all gynecologic surgeries specializing in minimally invasive options, treatment of perimenopause and menopause, and obstetric care at all levels. Recently she became a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. She has experience in pelvic floor dysfunction and its relation to all aspects of gynecology and fully supports referral to pelvic floor physical therapy. Her expertise includes treatment of endometriosis, abnormal bleeding, contraception options, hormone replacement and hypoactive sexual desire disorder. She also encourages and assists her patients in self awareness and offers holistic options of treatment.
