Omaha! Operating hours update!

Check the schedule online before heading out to see us 8/8-8/17 we will have limited availability during this stretch.

Normal schedule resumes August 18. Season will wind down for the season on September 7 at the Lake Cunningham location. Last SUP Yoga class on September 7!
Flanagan Lake will stay open through weekends in September, weather + demand pending. If you want us out there through the month let us know + we’ll be there.

A Kayak Love Story, Over 10 Years in the Making
Heart of the Board Shop to the Heart of the Community

Over a decade ago, Neighborhood Offshore flung open its doors (at the time a car with lots of stand-up paddleboards strapped down on the roof) with a simple idea: get locals on the water and let the current carry the rest. Since then, we’ve seen summer sunrises, stormy teachable moments, wobbly first launches, and stories you tell around a fire long after the paddle’s dried off.

Some of you have been riding this wave with us since the early days — returning year after year, turning rentals into rituals, strangers into friends. Yesterday morning, one such couple rolled up to the Board Shop. They’ve paddled with us for years. They meandered up to the doors yesterday with a beautiful tandem kayak. And they donated it. Just like that … no fanfare, just love.

What they didn’t know? That kayak now has another second chapter.

Neighborhood Offshore partners with to offer FREE lake rental gear through their Loaner Locker - breaking down cost, gear, professional instruction, and confidence barriers for folks who’ve been historically left out of outdoor rec. That same night, this beautiful orange tandem got its second first ride — a maiden voyage with a new family through Outpost x series.

Their son had never been kayaking before. And last night, that boat became the vessel of his first shoreline story. We heard more than once: “His PT is going to be so proud.”

Childhood core memories were met. Smiles were soaked. The kayak lived on.

To our longtime guests, new explorers, and everyone paddling in between — thank you for making Nebraska so beautiful with all of your stories we get to share.

This board shop is built and supported by waterfolk, memory-makers, and gear-swappin’ soul shakers. Thank you for being a part of the story.
