CEO Kenny McMorris came together at NACHC’s 2026 Policy & Issues Forum to advocate for the health and well-being of the communities we serve. The forum is an annual event where leaders meet with lawmakers to advance federal policies that support accessible, affordable healthcare.

Join us April 11th, for the 3rd Annual Heart, Sole & Roll 5k Community Stroll, a joyful celebration held during Black Maternal Health Week.

Guided by this year’s theme, Rooted in Justice & Joy, this gathering will take place in the heart of North Omaha, utilizing the North Omaha Trail, to uplift wellness, honor maternal health, and strengthen community bonds through movement and togetherness.

The race will start at 2306 N. 24th St. 68110, at the Anarcha Center.

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE ✨
As we honored Black History Month, our community came together for the 2026 Keep the Dream Alive March. It was a powerful reminder that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy lives on through unity service and collective action.
Charles Drew Health Center was proud to stand with our partners and neighbors as we marched, gathered, and celebrated the strength of our community.

Charles Drew Health Center was honored at the UNMC Nebraska Medicine Psychiatry New Year’s Awards Ceremony, which recognizes excellence and collaboration in service to our community.
We are proud to share that Charles Drew received the Outstanding Partnership Award, reflecting our shared commitment to advancing community health.
We also celebrate Sheritta Strong, MD, MBA, DFAPA, recipient of the Engagement Legacy Award for her impactful leadership and dedication to community engagement.

During Saturday's 19th Annual State of North Omaha Summit, our community partners and elected officials came together to present on the progress of where our city is headed next. The vision for how we can transform North Omaha is clear: it’s time for all of us to lean in and advocate for the future of this community.

Dr. Preston Love Jr. said it best: “When you do things intentionally, when you collaborate … that’s when things start to happen.”
