Not everything that’s starting to shift needs to be pushed 🌼

Spring doesn’t arrive all at once… it kind of sneaks in.

So this is what I’ve been thinking about:
✨ gentle momentum

Not pushing.
Not forcing.
Just noticing what feels quietly energizing… and giving it a little more space.

I meet one-on-one each month with about 20 folks across different organizations, and I guide multiple group wellness sessions monthly too. And many of us are used to operating in pressure and urgency all the time. Including me 🙋🏻‍♀️

But lately, we’ve been exploring something different:

What if everything isn’t urgent?

And something else too that we don’t talk about enough:
✨ capacity

Not just what you could do… but what you actually have the energy, space, resources and nervous system support to sustain.

Because when we override our capacity and/or have urgency as our undercurrent, that’s where/ when burnout starts to build.

So right now, I’m keeping it simple:

Less urgency.
Less pressure.
More awareness of what I actually have the capacity for.

And letting that be enough. 🌱🌻

Spring is my season, and today felt like coming back to life. 🌷

I started the morning outside, journaling with my dogs, birds in the background, slow and simple. Did a little reset at home, cleaned, organized, and put out some of the outdoor furniture - which always feels like a turning point. 📖🖊️🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺🐦‍⬛🦉🦅

Then I headed out to hike. First stop was Chalco Hills, but I was craving something a little more rugged, so I made my way to Fontenelle Hills for dirt paths and more elevation. 🪾🌳🐿️🦅

Now, a shower and date night with my hubby to close out the day. ❤️

📌 Side note: Almost 3 years ago I dropped my phone on my foot and I injured it more than I realized at the time. (Beware of the phone!) And it has quietly limited how much I can enjoy hiking and being active outside. I tried new boots today with more structure, and for the first time in a while, it actually felt okay! 🤞🏽

Happy almost spring, everyone! 💗
