Walking in with no idea what to expect and leaving knowing exactly why your doctor sent you is one of my favorite things to hear.

That is the goal every single session. Knowledgeable, intentional care that actually makes a difference in how you feel and how you heal.

If your doctor has recommended post-op MLD therapy, I would love to be the person they sent you to.

Day 4 is not too soon. It is exactly right. This is the window where Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy can begin safely supporting your lymphatic system, moving post-surgical fluid, and laying the foundation for smooth even healing.

If your first MLD session is not already booked, today is the day to make that call. Link in bio.

What you are feeling is your body's inflammatory response beginning to shift. Fluid that has been sitting without being moved can start to thicken and the tissue beneath the skin can begin to feel firm or uneven.

This is not your final result and it is not something to panic about, but it is a signal that your lymphatic system needs support right now.

The sooner we start moving that fluid the better your outcome.

Day 4 is not a random number.

Your body moves through four stages of healing after surgery. By stage three your body is ready for targeted support and that is exactly when MLD therapy begins moving fluid out of the area.
And as we clear that fluid, your body sends more lymph back thinking healing is not finished. That is why consistent sessions matter.

The timing is intentional.

Unlike your cardiovascular system, which has your heart to keep things moving, your lymphatic system depends on movement, breath, and manual support.

After surgery when your mobility is limited, it needs help.

That is exactly what MLD provides.

Supporting clients through cancer-related recovery is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do. The lymphatic system is significantly impacted by mastectomy procedures and targeted MLD therapy plays a critical role in reducing swelling, supporting drainage, and helping the body heal through one of the most physically and emotionally demanding recoveries a person can go through.

If you or someone you know is preparing for or recovering from a mastectomy and has not yet arranged post-op lymphatic support, I would love to be part of that healing process. Link in bio to book.

Eight weeks feels far away until it is not. This is the ideal window to start building your post-op care plan so that by the time your surgery date arrives everything is already handled.

Book your custom compression fitting, get your MLD sessions on the calendar, and give yourself the gift of walking into your procedure knowing your recovery is already taken care of.

Every body responds to surgery differently and swelling is influenced by a huge number of factors including your lymphatic health going in, how much fluid your body produces, your activity level, your hydration, and whether you have been receiving consistent post-op care.

Your friend's experience is not your baseline. What matters is whether your swelling is being actively supported and moving in the right direction.

If you are not doing MLD therapy yet, that could be the missing piece.

Every time you come in I start with an assessment. I am looking at where your fluid is sitting, how your tissue is responding, where tightness is developing, and what your body is telling me at that specific point in your recovery. What needed attention on Day 4 is not the same as what needs attention on week three. Your body is constantly changing and your sessions should reflect that.

This is one of the reasons certification and proper training matter so much. Knowing how to read what a post-surgical body needs in real time and adjust the work accordingly is not something you can skip. It is the difference between going through the motions and actually supporting your healing.
Every session is built around where you are that day.

That is how it should be. Link in bio to book.

The pressure is lighter, the sequencing is specific, and the purpose is entirely different. Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy is designed to move fluid through your lymphatic pathways, not work on muscle tissue. Knowing the difference matters when you are choosing who supports your recovery.

When your surgeon recommends you by name, that means everything.

Building relationships with surgical teams is something I take seriously because it means they trust me with their patients during one of the most vulnerable parts of the entire process.

That is not something I take lightly.

If your surgeon has recommended post-op MLD therapy and you are looking for someone certified and experienced, I would love to support your recovery.
