One of the most underrated habits of 2026?

A simple 10-minute journaling habit before bed. 📝

Journaling gives your thoughts somewhere to land. It helps you slow down, spot patterns, and make sense of the day instead of carrying everything into tomorrow. Over time, those small nightly check-ins build self-awareness, steady motivation, and real discipline that doesn’t rely on willpower.

We broke down a simple, realistic journaling framework you can start tonight.

Flu cases are surging nationwide, and this season is hitting harder than many of us remember.

The U.S. is now seeing the highest flu activity in at least 25 years. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 19 states are reporting the highest levels of respiratory illness. As of December 27, there have already been an estimated 11 million flu cases, 120,000 hospitalizations, and 5,000 deaths this season.

Health experts expect flu-like illnesses to continue to climb in the coming weeks and warn that this season's peak has likely not yet been reached.

Flu cases are surging this season. Learn what’s driving the spike, how it affects workplaces, and what employers can do right now to protect teams.

Every January comes with the same loud message. đź‘€

Reset.
Do more.
Be better.
Fix everything.

And honestly? That’s exhausting.

Most people don’t need another list of resolutions.
They need space.
Space to pause.
Space to reflect.
Space to figure out what actually supports their energy and focus at work and in life.

That’s why we’re rethinking the whole “New Year, New You” thing.

Instead of pressure-filled goals, this article invites something gentler and way more realistic: better questions.
Questions that spark curiosity, not guilt.
Questions that help you build habits that feel sustainable, not draining.

Think recalibration, not reset.

The holidays can feel magical and a little unhinged at the same time. One minute you’re loving the lights. The next you’re wondering how your to do list learned how to multiply.

There is pressure to make perfect memories. Pressure to show up like a Pinterest Mom. Pressure to have Hallmark-level joy even when you are running on caffeine and the faint hope that everything will somehow get done.

It is a lot.

That is why seasonal self-care matters. Not to avoid the holidays. Not to sit out the fun. It is about giving yourself the space and energy to actually enjoy them. To feel grounded instead of frazzled. To stay present instead of being stretched too thin.

Think of this as your holiday permission slip to breathe, reset, and be human.

If you need a little support this season, our new guide is here for you. Read the full blog below.

Ever notice how fast your mind believes the words you whisper to yourself? One “I can’t do this” can shut everything down, while a simple shift to “I’ll figure it out” can open the door again.

Your words aren’t just comments, they’re cues. When you choose language filled with kindness, curiosity, and possibility, you spark momentum. Phrases like “I can,” “I will,” or “I’ll try again” remind your brain that there’s still room to grow, even on the hard days.

Saying “I’m stuck” feels heavy. Saying “I’m learning” feels hopeful. One closes the chapter; the other keeps the story moving. That’s the quiet power of hopeful language — it helps you move from obstacles to options and from doubt to determination.

Want to dive deeper into how hopeful language rewires your mindset? Read more in the full article — link below.

Remember when moving your body actually felt fun?

When it looked like racing your friends to the end of the block… or dancing around your room just because the song was too good not to?

Somewhere along the way, movement turned into something we “should” do instead of something we get to do. But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

Movement is still one of the easiest ways to feel more alive.
A stretch in the morning sun.
A walk with your dog.
A little kitchen dance break.
It all counts — and it all adds up.

If you want to fall back in love with moving again, it starts with small daily moments that remind your body what joy feels like.

You probably inhaled or swallowed microplastics today.

They’re hiding in your water, your lunch, and even the clothes you wear to work.

Tiny plastic particles have quietly slipped into our daily routines, and most of us don’t even realize it.

They’re called microplastics.

At their biggest, they’re about the size of a sprinkle.
At their smallest? Just 1 micron — dozens of times tinier than a grain of salt.

So what do they mean for our long-term health, and what can we do about it?

Our Story

TotalWellness provides tailored corporate and health wellness services to help you deliver better wellness programs to your employees. Services include biometric screenings, corporate flu shots and a wellness portal.

Since our start in 1998, we’ve worked with companies that are interested in the happiness and health of their employee population. We believe the true value of a wellness program is the long-term positive effect they have on an individual’s life.

We ignite change by providing biometric screening experiences worth talking about. For too long we have concentrated on the problems and health risks within employees and it's time for a different approach. Our screening programs are built around a basic premise: everyone is healthy. By building on the strengths of participants, it opens the door to new ways to motivate and engage employees.
