The Douglas County Health Center (DCHC) recently hosted an Employee Appreciation Day to recognize their dedication and committment to our residents. Food Services provided a delicious selection of hors d'oeuvres for the occasion, and employees were encouraged to gather and celebrate with their coworkers.

The Douglas County Health Center Foundation recently provided free pizza for the Health Center staff. We are truly grateful for the Foundation’s continued support of our facility and our team.

Our dedicated staff serves across many departments, including Nursing & MDS, Food Service, Environmental Services, Billing, Recreational Therapy, Therapy, Pharmacy, Security, Staff Development, Recruitment, Social Services, and Medical Records. Your contributions make a significant impact on their work and the quality of care we provide.

The competition was close for the Pumpkin Carving Contest but the winners are.......

Thanks to all the employees and residents who entered the contest. We had a record number of votes this year and the votes were close in both categories. Winners receive a pizza party!

DCHC is honored to recognize one of our residents, Mr. Tony Martinez. Tony is a World War II veteran and was recently acknowledged as part of Governor Pillen's "World War II Recognition Program", commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

The Board of Commissioners recognized Tony for his selfless and outstanding service to the United States and the residents of Douglas County on Tuesday, August 26th at the Board of Commissioners meeting.

Congratulations, Tony! We also appreciate your service to our country and community and are honored you have chose DCHC as your home.
