There is a lot of talk about Melatonin recently. I have a strong belief that any over the counter shouldn’t be used on a daily basis.
But how I will sleep?
Seven tips to help you sleep better
Unwind habits to help you sleep.
1. No blue light spectrum lights on, one hour before bed.
2. Chill out and laugh, release some cortisol.
Listen to music, watch a comedy, (not a drama)
3. If you have lots on your mind, keep a journal, write down your thoughts. Writing helps us process drama and trauma, if it’s your list of things do writing down helps you relax, not stress trying to remember.
4. Make your room cool and dark, cover all those pericing lights from devices.
5. Put your phone on airplane mode.
6. No caffiene after 2pm (within 8 hours of sleep) and if you’re very used to it, skip for a week or two to return your sensitivity. You will need less and feel better.
7. No herb or over the counter med will help you like changing your habits, you gain the maxium effect by first changing your habits.
That being said here are herbs to aid sleep.
1. Passionflower- turns off the radio in your head, thoughts calm down.
2. Skullcap- when your body isn’t ready to sleep but your mind is, will release tenison in your muscle.
3. Valerian- can hit like a truck, make sure you have time to sleep 10hours.
Your sleep is your most important asset.
Your sleep is your health.
In sleep your body is it cleaning and repairing,
Moving short term memory to long term.
There so many studies on this.
Childern grow in there sleep.
Women need more sleep,since their brains do that much than men.
Sleep should NOT be the leftovers of your day.
It should be your most scared time.
Hear your thoughts, pray and listen to God before you sleep.
