Omaha Center for Sight is hiring! We are currently looking to fill a full time position for an ophthalmic technician. We require at least one year of experience in this field. Qualifications:
• Strong people and communication skills
• Friendly, bright, strong customer care, and detail-oriented
• 1 year of ophthalmology technician experience
Responsibilities
•Review and document eye and medical history
•Perform a variety of routine tests including intraocular pressures, visual fields, OCT, fundus photography and refracting
•Dilate eyes for exams
•Assist the physician during diagnostic and minor surgical procedures, including instrumentation, sterile preparations, and documentation
•Answer phones and return patient phone calls
Job description
Searching for an experienced, motivated, and dependable Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. We are willing to train in some aspects of this position but we do require knowledge of this field with prior experience as a technician. Duties may include but not limited to:
• Document ocular and medical histories
• Visual Acuity check
• Dilate when needed
• Diagnostic testing; OCT imaging, Fluorescein angiograms, Fundus photos, IOL master, lensometer, HVF and topography
• E-scribe
• Answer phones and return patient phone calls
• Schedule appointments
