Kindness Changes Lives 💙

Theresa would like to recognize Jess from KVC Nebraska for the heart, leadership and compassion she brings to her work every day.

Theresa has had the privilege of working with Jess for more than 11 years and has watched her grow into an exceptional Foster Care Supervisor and leader. Jess is an expert in her role, but what truly sets her apart is her genuine care for youth, families and her team. She consistently goes above and beyond not because she has to, but because it is who she is.

Recently, Jess spent an entire day driving multiple hours to meet with two families in need of home assessments. While this was not part of her day to day responsibilities, she stepped in to support her team, provide critical services and ensure youth were safe and supported.

Jess leads with authenticity, compassion and empathy, always asking, "What would I want for my child?" Her kindness truly changes lives and we are so grateful for the impact she makes across KVC every day.

Thank you Jess for being the heart of our work. 💙

Kindness Changes Lives Nomination Spotlight! 🌟

We’ve gotta give a big shoutout to Shady, one of the absolute bright spots in our KVC Nebraska office.

If you’ve ever called in, there’s a good chance you’ve talked to her. She takes all kinds of calls — folks looking for info, family members with questions, hopeful foster parents, SLPs, and yep, even the random wrong number. No matter who it is, Shady shows up with kindness, patience and her awesome sense of humor.
She handles tough or emotional calls with so much care and somehow stays patient even when technology decides to act up. One of her coworkers said just listening to her side of the conversation can totally lift your mood, which honestly says it all.
