It’s an interesting experience having a grandfather who was often larger than life. For most of my life I saw him as most children see a grandparent, “just my grandpa.” I have countless memories of playing at his house, watching movies, and hearing his spooky stories. I always knew he was fun and a wonderful grandpa, but it wasn’t until I was older when I learned how much of an impact he had on countless others. Since his passing I’ve gotten to hear more stories about him from his wrestlers, students, friends, family and so many others about the positive influence he was for them.

It has filled me, and our whole family, with pride to see the legacy he built and to see the recognition he’s gotten at a school that meant so much to him! It makes me glad to have experienced the same school, even if he had already left it by the time I got there, and beyond excited to send my own child there too. I mean how many kids get to go to a school where there’s not only a bust and plaque of their great grandpa hanging in the halls, but an entire room dedicated to him, his impact and his legacy.

Massages with me can be completely customized to your goals and preferences! I try to have a whole body focus as often as possible because the muscles of the body are very interconnected. Low back problems for example can certainly stem from the muscles of the lower back, but they can also be caused from strain in the hips, hamstrings, or even the abdominals!

I’m also a big advocate of client autonomy and my biggest priority is for my clients to be comfortable! Would you feel more comfortable fully clothed and getting a 30 minute chair massage? Let’s plan on it! Do you want to be in more of a sitting position, or have your legs elevated more while laying on your back? I have wedges and pillows galore to help get you in your most comfortable position!

I’ll also be happy to work on more specific areas if requested. Want an upper body focus for an hour? Sounds great to me! As long as I’m able to carry out my objective of helping you feel your best in your body, I’m more than happy to modify!
