One of the best things about sport and my role with UNO hockey is getting to watch these individuals turn into great leaders, teammates and players during their time in Omaha. These seven guys are the best of the best and it has been a privilege to play a small part in their journey…still work to be done but couldn’t be more proud of the commitment these seven have made to maintaining a culture, battling adversity and showing what it takes to be a Maverick. Well done!!!

Many folks were blessed to have Dr Mosier as their Chiropractor and partner in their wellness journey. I was one of those folks and had it not been for Dr Mosier I wouldn’t be a Chiropractor today. Rewind to 1991, was playing college baseball and had some back pain. Didn’t know where to go, what to do. Parents recommended I see their Chiro…Dr Mosier. Few visits felt better, we developed a friendship and he said “Steve you should be a chiropractor.” I was maybe 21 and unfortunately the company I worked part time for (Gallup…yep I was calling folks at home to conduct the Gallup Poll) had shown interest in having me work full time. Now being young..kind of sick of school…corporate world and bigger paychecks called my name. 15 years later and still working at Gallup I hit a lull..professional boredom…young life crisis maybe. I recognized if I didn’t make a change I would likely retire at Gallup and I need to shake things up. I always loved helping people, wanted to drive my own success and had a passion for sport,active lifestyles. I debated and decided to call Dr. Mosier…see what he thought about chiropractic school and jumping back into the profession as an encore career. Won’t forget what he said…Steve “even being older you have what it takes…you will love every second of it.” Shortly after we () rolled the dice - closed the door on my 15 year corporate career, returned to school and became a DC. Might not have happened without his encouraging words but grateful for his impact on my journey, the legacy of care he leaves behind and the nudge he gave me to trust myself and take a leap. You will be missed Dr Mosier!
