VSL Congratulates Incoming President Heath Boddy for Being Elected to the AHCA Board of Governors!

Vetter Senior Living is proud to announce that Heath Boddy, incoming President of the organization, has been elected to the Board of Governors of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) as the Not-for-Profit Representative.

Boddy brings over 33 years of leadership experience in senior care, including his work with Vetter Senior Living, where he helps lead one of the region’s most respected care organizations.

“I am honored to be selected for this role and am excited for the opportunity to work with the AHCA Board of Directors and team to advance quality care for this noble, vital profession,” said Boddy.

Boddy’s election reflects not only his personal dedication to
excellence but also the shared commitment of Vetter Senior Living’s leadership team and more than 4,000 team members who serve residents and families across the Midwest. Together, they embody the organization’s mission of providing “Dignity in Life” through quality care, integrity, and servant leadership.

Members of the AHCA Board of Governors are elected by the Association’s governing body, the Council of States, with elections held during Delivering Solutions 25, the AHCA/NCAL Annual Convention & Expo.

It was MDS time at the VSL Home Office!

What’s behind all those letters? VSL is of course our company name, but you may not know that MDS stands for Minimum Data Set, a federally mandated tool used to assess the health status of residents in nursing facilities certified by Medicare or Medicaid. Each of our skilled care locations has an MDS Coordinator.

Last week the VSL home office had the privilege of hosting the MDS Leadership Conference. The agenda included discussion of our commitment to being world-class and having a positive culture. We also had a team from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services educated the group on regulatory updates and troubleshooting.

Thank you MDS coordinators for the work you do every day to provide Dignity in Life for those who trust us with their care!

More on MDS: The Minimum Data Set Coordinator is a Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing the assessment of residents to ensure comprehensive care planning and compliance with federal regulations. This role requires extensive clinical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage the complex data required for care plans and reimbursement.
