Happy Phlebotomist Week! 🩸
This week we celebrate our amazing phlebotomy team, Marisa Pasch, Teresa Krause, Sam Thies, and Morgan Hansen, and recognize the vital role they play at Burgess.

Phlebotomists are often the first step in a patient’s healthcare journey, collecting blood samples that help providers diagnose, monitor, and treat medical conditions. Their skill, precision, and caring approach make a difference for patients every day.

This week we’re highlighting the powerful role cardiac rehab plays in reducing the effects of heart disease, the leading cause of death for men and women. Cardiac rehab helps people live longer, healthier lives through education, exercise, and heart-healthy lifestyle changes.

We’re proud to recognize Alison Wiggs, RN, our Cardiac Rehab nurse in Rehab Services, for the compassionate care and guidance she provides to our patients every day.

Small changes in nutrition, activity, and heart care can make a big difference. Your heart is worth it!

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Onawa on Saturday, February 7th for our Annual EMS Day! 🚑

We had a great turnout and were proud to offer 8 hours of FREE continuing education led by some of the best educators in our region. From the early start at 8:00 a.m. to the final sessions, the day was filled with learning, collaboration, and connection.

We appreciate your dedication to serving our communities and making this event a success. We’re already looking forward to next year!
