🌟 This time of year often brings reminders to “be thankful for everything,” but the truth is — gratitude doesn’t have to be grand. It can be quiet, simple, and real. Sometimes it’s just being thankful for a warm meal, a kind word, or a peaceful moment to breathe. 💙

At Myrtle Recovery Centers, we believe healing begins with grace — and that includes giving yourself permission to find gratitude in small, gentle ways. 🌱

🌟 Meet the Team: Dominique “Ozzy” Morgan, LPN 🌟

We’re excited to introduce Ozzy Morgan, one of our amazing Licensed Practical Nurses here at Myrtle Recovery Centers!

Ozzy is in his first year as a nurse but brings three years of experience in the healthcare field. He takes his work seriously, yet blends in plenty of humor and a down-to-earth personality to help brighten the mood for our patients. 😄💙

A true Scott County native, Ozzy was even born right here at Myrtle back in 2001 when the building served as Labor & Delivery. Talk about full circle.

Ozzy shares that he enjoys his job deeply. After losing his dad in 2022, who spent two years in recovery, he now feels called to support others on their recovery journey in ways he wishes he could have helped his father. His heart for this work shows every day. 💚

One of his favorite quotes is:
“Don’t take life too seriously, none of us are getting out alive anyway!”

We’re grateful to have Ozzy on our team and for the compassion, honesty, and humor he brings to our patients and staff.

If you or someone you love needs support, we’re here. Reach out anytime.

✨ Art in Recovery ✨

Creative expression plays a powerful role in the healing process. This week, one of our patients designed this beautiful beaded bracelet—a reflection of strength, faith, and transformation.

Through projects like this, our Art in Recovery program encourages mindfulness, builds confidence, and gives patients a way to tell their stories through color, texture, and creativity. Each piece is a reminder that recovery is not only about overcoming challenges, but also rediscovering beauty and purpose along the way. 💛

Art in Recovery 🐉🖤🤍

This incredible piece was created by one of our patients using bead art to form two dragons intertwined in a yin and yang design.

In recovery, we often talk about balance—between strength and surrender, darkness and light, pain and healing. This artwork beautifully reflects that idea. The dragons represent power and transformation, while their harmony in the yin and yang reminds us that recovery is about finding peace within both our struggles and our growth.

Healing isn’t about perfection—it’s about balance, acceptance, and learning to coexist with all parts of ourselves. 💚

🌿 Meet the Team: Christian Owens, BHT 🌿

Christian has been part of the Myrtle Recovery Centers family since the very beginning and is CPR certified 😌

As a Behavioral Health Tech, Christian walks alongside patients during some of their darkest days — offering support, encouragement, and hope.

💚 “I enjoy working at Myrtle because I get to help those in addiction. I get to watch them transform over a 28-day period — from their darkest days to finding hope and joy in life again! Most are so thankful to get a second chance at life and recovery.”

Born and raised right here in Scott County, TN, Christian finds purpose in helping others find theirs. Though she isn’t in recovery herself, she’s deeply connected to the journey through loved ones who are — and her compassion shines through in everything she does.

When she’s not at Myrtle, Christian loves spending time with her husband Wyatt, her two beautiful daughters, and her nephew Landry. She also treasures her time with her church and church family.

✨ Favorite quote: “Believe you can, and you’re already halfway there.”

We’re so grateful for Christian’s heart, dedication, and steady presence on the Myrtle team! 💜

Art in Recovery 🐉

Strength. Courage. Transformation.

This powerful dragon artwork was created by one of our patients during recovery. Each bead was carefully placed to bring this image to life—a reminder that, like recovery, growth takes patience, focus, and resilience.

The dragon symbolizes rising from the ashes, conquering fear, and embracing inner strength. In recovery, that same fire—the one that once caused pain—can become the spark that fuels healing and change. 💚
