Today we recognize President’s Day and reflect on the leadership and service that have shaped our nation. 🇺🇸

At Myrtle Recovery Centers, we also honor the strength it takes to lead your own life in a new direction. Recovery requires courage, commitment, and the willingness to begin again. Those are qualities worth celebrating.

As we observe this day, we remain grateful for the freedoms we share and for every individual who chooses hope, healing, and a fresh start. ❤️

If you or someone you love is ready to take that next step, we are here to walk alongside you.

💚 Meet the Team 💚

Today we are proud to introduce Cassia Bowling, M.B.A., Case Manager at Myrtle Recovery Centers.

Cassia brings a strong educational background with a B.S. in Pre-Medicine (Biology) and an MBA, along with over a year of experience in case management. In her role, she supports patients through care coordination, advocacy, assessments, documentation, and discharge planning. A key part of her work is helping individuals connect with vital community resources such as housing, job training, education, and benefits. She also plays an important role in relapse-prevention planning, helping patients build a solid foundation for life beyond treatment.

Cassia was drawn to working in rural Appalachia because she understands the unique challenges many individuals face when seeking help for substance use and mental health concerns. Limited resources, transportation barriers, generational trauma, and stigma can make recovery harder, yet she is deeply inspired by the strength, resilience, and sense of community found here. Her passion lies in meeting people where they are, advocating for accessible services, and helping patients create sustainable recovery paths that honor their culture, values, and lived experiences.

Outside of work, Cassia’s greatest joy is being a mother and spending time with her family. She also loves traveling and has visited more than 14 countries, embracing opportunities to experience new cultures along the way. 🌍✈️

Her favorite quote says it all:
✨ “No one has ever become poor by giving.”

We are grateful to have Cassia as part of the Myrtle team and thankful for the compassion and dedication she brings to our patients every day. 💚

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose message of dignity, justice, compassion, and hope continues to guide us forward.

Dr. King believed deeply in the power of humanity to heal, to rise above adversity, and to move forward with purpose, even in uncertain times. One of his most powerful reminders was that “faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” In recovery, that first step often comes before clarity, before confidence, and before knowing exactly what lies ahead, yet it is the step that opens the door to healing.

At Myrtle Recovery Centers, we see every day how courage and faith come together in recovery. Choosing help, asking questions, and showing up even when the path feels unclear are acts of strength. Dr. King’s legacy calls us to meet each person with respect, reduce stigma, and support recovery with compassion and equity.

Today, we reflect on his words and recommit to building a future rooted in hope, understanding, and opportunity, one step at a time.

🎨 Art in Recovery 🎨

Creativity can be a powerful part of the healing process. This beautiful piece was created by a recent patient and reflects the joy, connection, and self-expression that often emerge during recovery. Art gives space for emotions to be felt, stories to be told, and hope to take shape in ways words sometimes cannot.

At Myrtle Recovery Centers, we believe healing happens in many forms. Through art, reflection, and community, individuals are supported as they reconnect with themselves and rediscover what brings them meaning and joy. We are proud to celebrate the creativity and courage of those who share their talents with us along the way. 💚

If you or someone you love is ready to begin a recovery journey, we are here to help. Reach out today to learn more about our programs and supportive services.

Healing is rarely loud or dramatic. More often, it happens quietly through small choices, honest conversations, and showing up on days when it feels hard. Progress does not always look like forward motion. Sometimes it looks like rest, reflection, or asking for help.

If you feel like your journey is slower than you expected, know that healing is not a race. Every step counts, even the ones that feel unseen.

If you need support along the way, Myrtle Recovery Centers is here. Call 423-569-7866 to learn more about our programs and compassionate care.

Recovery is not about erasing your past. It is about learning how to live fully in the present while building a future that feels more grounded and hopeful. Your experiences have shaped you, but they do not define the limits of what is possible next.

You are allowed to grow beyond old patterns and still honor where you came from. Both can exist together.

If you or someone you love is ready for support, reach out to Myrtle Recovery Centers at 423-569-7866. You do not have to navigate this alone.
