Hoyan! As we welcome the year ahead, we honor the Oneida tradition of Hoyan – derived from the Oneida word meaning “one more” or “again.” Today, community members go door‑to‑door calling out “Hoyan!” to receive doughnuts, cookies, or treats, celebrating community, renewal, and hope for “one more” fruitful year. Wishing you all health, joy, and abundant blessings in the days to come.

Important Update from Oneida Comprehensive Health Division

Due to the recent winter storm warning shutting down of our building for the day, our on-call service was unfortunately not activated as intended. As a result, calls were routed to the building instead of being forwarded to the on-call team, and some calls went unanswered.

We understand how critical communication is during severe weather events, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Our team is actively working with the Answering Service and our DTS team and have successfully restored the service. We will continue to review the situation to ensure this does not happen in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to improve our processes.

Due to the impending weather impacting travel conditions, the OCHD will be closed on 12/29/25. Employees do not report to work. AJRCCC staff are exempt from this closure and must report to work as scheduled.
