This week, we were grateful to welcome Assemblyman Brian Miller to our monthly Arc Self-Advocates meeting!

He took the time to listen to our self-advocates and families. We want to give a special thank you to Doreen Adams and Alexia Conrad for powerfully advocating on behalf of Seth and Theo, and for sharing their personal stories and experiences.

Together, we discussed our request for a 2.7% Targeted Inflationary Increase (TII) in this year’s executive budget, the importance of valuing and supporting our dedicated Direct Support Professionals, and highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by people with disabilities and their families.

Help us advocate during our statewide, month-long call campaign! Our goal is to make 5,000 impactful calls by the end of February. 📲📣

Telephone calls are a powerful advocacy tool! Legislative offices will hear directly from their constituents, and you’ll have the chance to share your personal story.

The Executive Budget includes a 1.7% Targeted Inflationary Increase (TII). This is a start, but we need the full 2.7% just to keep up with inflation this year. We also need support for our Careforce Affordability package!

Happy Valentine's Day! Earlier this week, our PreVoc group decorated bags and packaged homemade cookies to spread the love to seniors in the community through Karing Kitchen.

It's Fabulous Friday! Our Spirit Committee packaged over 300 cookies and delivered all of them to our wonderful staff, we appreciate everything you do. Happy Valentine's Day!
