Here is a simple, yet effective exercise often used to target a common cause of shoulder pain.
The serratus anterior is an important muscle involved in supporting the shoulder girdle, responsible for pulling the shoulder blade forward when punching as well rotating the shoulder blade upwards to allow you to raise your arm.
A pillowcase can be helpful in activating this muscle. Make sure to keep the pillowcase taut at the hands as you slide the forearms up and down the wall. You should feel a good burn underneath the shoulder blades and wrapping around the ribcage.
