Kristen Sloth's kids, my kids and I are in this really fun show! Opening night tonight!
Be sure to make plans this weekend to see the show that’s making all the headlines! NEWSIES opens TOMORROW, March 18th with a showtime at 7:30 PM. You also have chances to experience this production Saturday, March 19th at 7:30 PM and Sunday, March 20th at 3 PM.
Secure your tickets now online at www.orpheustheatre.org or get them at the door starting one hour to showtime.
Set in the year 1899 in New York City, Newsies is inspired by a true story and tells the tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy, and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right!
Based on the 1992 motion picture, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Sister Act) and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots). Featuring the now classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience.
Experience this event this weekend only, performing at the Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta.
General admission tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors 65+ and $10 for children and students 17 and under.
Presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
