Ten years ago, on March 7, 2016, APTS began with a leap of faith. I was a young clinician with a big dream and a belief that children in our communities deserved access to pediatric therapy services close to home. At the time, many families were driving long distances for care or going without services altogether. I believed we could do something about that.
What started as a small step forward has grown into something far bigger than I ever imagined. Today, APTS is proud to be a female-owned and operated company rooted in the communities we serve.
Over the past 10 years, APTS has had the privilege of serving an estimated 5,770 children, providing 291,840 therapy sessions, and employing 143 incredible team members who have poured their hearts into helping kids grow, communicate, learn, and gain independence. But those numbers only tell part of the story.
Behind every session is a child working hard. A parent advocating for their child. A therapist celebrating progress that others might never see.
To the families who trusted us with your children, thank you. To the physicians, teachers, and community partners who believed in our mission, thank you. And to our APTS team (past and present), thank you for making this place what it is today.
These past ten years have not been without challenges. Like many healthcare providers, we have navigated rising costs amid inflation while reimbursement rates from payors have remained largely unchanged. But through it all, our commitment has stayed the same: making sure children in our communities have access to the care they need.
I am incredibly grateful to both of the communities we serve for supporting APTS over the past decade. You believed in this vision when it was just an idea from a new grad trying to make a difference. And because of you, thousands of children have had the opportunity to discover their strengths.
Here’s to the next era and continuing to help children discover their strengths.
