CP Fact 💚

Did you know that people with cerebral palsy may use 3 to 5 times more energy to perform movements than someone without CP?

What may be a simple movement for other people can require much more effort and endurance from someone with CP.

Understanding CP helps build a more informed and supportive community.

ID: A graphic with the headline “Did You Know?” at the top. The text explains that it takes more energy for a person with cerebral palsy to perform everyday movements. It states that the energy used in movements by a person with cerebral palsy is three (3) to five (5) times more than that of a person without cerebral palsy. The design features green and pink text on a light background with abstract green brush accents. The CP Research Network logo and website cprn.org appear at the bottom.

Friendship bracelets, team laughs, and a little creative chaos over lunch. 🌀

As we celebrate our 10th Anniversary ERA at APTS, we’ve been intentional about building in moments that bring our team together. Beads everywhere, a variety of color combos, and a lot of fun!

While not everyone on our team is an occupational therapist, this activity is a great reminder of where so much of our work is rooted. Occupational therapy has long used crafts and hands-on activities to build skills, support regulation. That same idea translates across our entire team.

Because at the end of the day, what we do is about people.
It’s about creating spaces where our friends feel safe to try, learn, and build skills. Where families feel supported, and where our team feels connected to each other.

10 years in, and it’s still the little moments like this that make the biggest impact.

This is our ERA 🪩

💙💛 Don't forget that CrAzY socks send a BIG message!

This week, we’re celebrating World Down Syndrome Day by wearing our boldest, brightest, most mismatched socks. Because chromosomes look like socks… and on 3/21, we celebrate the beauty of an extra one!

Since March 21 falls on a Saturday this year, we’re inviting everyone to join in early:
🧦 Wear your silly socks + blue & yellow 👕 to school or work on Friday, March 20
🧦 Then keep the celebration going on Saturday, March 21

It’s a simple way to spark conversations, show support, and remind the world that when everybody is seen, known, and included… we all belong!

Thank you, Amy Clevidence! We are loving our new site. 😍

Thank you, Amy Clevidence! We are loving our new site. 😍

This one isn’t about a website. It’s about alignment, and a meaningful milestone for Alabama Pediatric Therapy Services.

As they celebrate 10 years of serving families with care, compassion, and intention, their digital presence now reflects the depth of that work.

We didn’t add more. We clarified. We built a structure that reduces overwhelm. We shaped language that reflects lived experience. We created a website that feels like walking into the clinic itself: calm, welcoming, and trustworthy.

The result is more than a new website. It’s an extension of care.

Grateful to collaborate with Twentytwo Media Co. to bring this to life, and so honored to support this incredible mission.

We’re excited to share something new with our community — the updated Alabama Pediatric Therapy Services website is now live!

As we celebrate 10 years of serving families, we wanted our website to better reflect who we are today and make it easier for families, physicians, schools, and community partners to connect with us.

The new site includes:
• Information about our therapy services
• Resources for families
• A look inside our clinics and team
• An easier way to request evaluations and contact our offices

When APTS started in 2016, the goal was simple: increase access to therapy services for children in rural and underserved communities. Over the past decade, thousands of families have trusted us with their care, and we are incredibly grateful for that support.

Whether you're a current family, a new parent looking for services, or a community partner, we hope the new site makes it easier to learn about what we do and how we can help.
