How often do you find yourself doubting your abilities and decisions or self-sabotaging your goals?
I’ve been there! Feeling like I was an imposter, not reaching my goals or living my values led me to believe I wasn’t worthy.
Perpetual self-doubt only furthers your belief of unworthiness and erodes your self-esteem further.
Self-doubt is caused by many things — past experiences, fear of failure or success, the environment you grew up in, or being too critical of yourself.
Change that self-doubt and believe in YOU!
1. Be compassionate with yourself. Give yourself the grace to make mistakes.
2. Know your achievements and accomplishments and reward yourself for them.
3. Stop comparing yourself to other people. We all have our journeys.
4. Let go of the inner critic. When the inner critic shows up, put her/him in timeout. Not NOW!
5. Journal your thoughts and remind yourself they are only thoughts. Just because you think them doesn’t mean they are true.
6. Seek the support of a coach, therapist, or trusted friend.
Like anything in life, if you’ve not learned it already, developing the mindset to believe in yourself and let the self-doubt go takes practice.
We are all a work in progress!
