🌟 Associate Spotlight: Wes, Dining Services Director. 🌟
Wes’s passion for cooking began early in life, long before he ever stepped into a professional kitchen. By high school, he was already immersed in food service classes and competing in culinary events, earning scholarships that launched his formal training. His journey took him to Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina, where he spent 3 years sharpening his skills under the mentorship of celebrated chefs in some of Charleston’s top kitchens, including renowned establishments like the Mills House Hotel, Charleston Place, and 82 Queen. His love for low‑country cuisine was born there and continues to inspire his dishes today. 🥘
After returning to the Chattanooga area, Wes spent 8 years as a sous chef at the award‑winning 212 Market, gaining experience in everything from fine‑dining service to large‑scale community events and catering. In 2014, Wes found what he describes as his true calling when he joined Century Park, and ultimately, The Bridge. Here, he discovered a deep appreciation for serving seniors and honoring the lives and legacies of those who came before us. Wes pours his experience, creativity, and compassion into every meal he serves, and he is equally committed to mentoring the team around him. Wes often says that everyone has a path, and he knows he’s exactly where he’s meant to be. That sense of purpose shines through in everything he does. 💫
We are grateful every day for Wes’s incredible talent, motivation, and heart. Our residents, staff, and entire community are truly blessed to have him at The Bridge! 💙
