How do you know when it’s time to consider assisted living or memory care?
What legal steps should families think about before a crisis happens?

These are some of the most common questions caregivers ask, and they’ll be part of the conversation at the upcoming Caregiver Café: Caring in the Cove, hosted by the Morning Pointe Foundation at Morning Pointe of Greenbriar Cove. 💬

You’ll hear from a panel of local experts including:
• Chuck Alsobrook, Office Manager, Hamilton County Veteran Services
• Ben Davis III, CSA, Broker Manager, Select Pointe, LLC
• Lacy Graydon, Community Liaison/BSW, Adoration Hospice
• Paula Larkin, CADDCT, Certified Alzheimer’s Disease/Dementia Practitioner/Trainer

During the program, panelists will walk through key topics families often face when navigating aging and caregiving. After the discussion, guests will also have the opportunity to connect with the panelists individually to ask additional questions.

Memory changes can raise a lot of quiet questions for families. Is this just part of getting older, or is something more going on? And what can we actually do to support brain health along the way? 🧠

The encouraging news is that simple daily habits can make a meaningful difference. Movement, creativity, conversation, and learning new things all help keep the brain active and engaged.

At Morning Pointe Senior Living, we often talk with families about practical ways to support cognitive health and meaningful daily engagement. In this week’s Understanding Senior Living blog, we’re sharing simple brain activities you can start right away, along with insights from brain health expert Dr. Gregory Jicha of the UK Sanders-Brown Center on Aging.

These ideas can help support focus, confidence, and connection at any stage of aging.

Behind every scholarship is a student working toward a career that serves others. 🎓

The Morning Pointe Foundation, established by Morning Pointe Senior Living co-founders Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow, has received the 2026 SOAR Philanthropy Award from the College System of Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Regents, recognizing the organization and its founders for their lasting contributions to students, communities, and workforce development across the state. 🏆

Since 2014, the Morning Pointe Foundation has focused on strengthening the future of caregiving by supporting students pursuing careers in nursing, therapy, social work, and culinary arts, while also offering free caregiver education programs for families navigating aging and memory care.

Together, Morning Pointe Senior Living and the Morning Pointe Foundation have invested more than $2.1 million in Tennessee’s community colleges and technical schools, helping expand educational opportunities and strengthen the workforce that will care for older adults for generations to come.

We are grateful for this recognition and for the many students, schools, and partners who continue to be part of this mission.

Memory loss rarely happens all at once. It shifts gradually, and families are often left wondering, “Is it time yet?” 💜

In this week’s Understanding Senior Living blog, we share how Morning Pointe Senior Living approaches memory care as a continuum — with thoughtfully designed environments like LampLight and Lantern that support residents at different stages of cognitive change. 🧠

Not every Morning Pointe community offers the same care model, but every location can help guide families in the right direction. Whether through on-site memory care, a nearby sister community, or trusted local resources, our goal is to help you find the right support for your loved one.

If you are navigating memory changes with someone you love, this guide may bring clarity and reassurance.

A little creativity and a little St. Patrick’s Day cheer. 🍀

Residents spent the afternoon crafting festive wreaths to celebrate the season. The room filled with color, laughter, and plenty of proud smiles as each wreath came together.

Moments like this are about more than the craft itself. Familiar holidays, hands-on activities, and time spent creating together can spark memories and bring a wonderful sense of accomplishment for our residents.

And the finished wreaths? They’re the perfect touch of green for welcoming the season. 💚

It takes all of us. ❤️

On Employee Appreciation Day, we’re celebrating every associate who makes Morning Pointe Senior Living what it is for our residents and their families.

From clinical and care staff to dining, life enrichment, maintenance, housekeeping, business office, community relations, and leadership — it takes every role, every shift, and every heart working together.

Thank you for showing up, supporting one another, and serving our residents and families with consistency and compassion. We’re grateful for the difference you make every single day. 👏

Behind every smooth day is someone making sure everything works the way it should. 🔧

Our Maintenance Directors are problem-solvers, steady hands, and quiet leaders who keep our communities safe, comfortable, and ready for whatever the day brings. From preparing apartments for new residents to fixing the little things that make a big difference, their work keeps daily life moving.

In this video, they share what they enjoy most about their role, what it means to care for a community in this way, and what a typical day really looks like.

We’re grateful for the skill, dependability, and heart they bring to Morning Pointe Senior Living each day. 💚

Take a few minutes to hear from the people who help make our communities feel like home.

The residents of the East Hamilton Lantern are stitching more than costumes — they’re stitching community. 🧵✨

Over the past few weeks, our talented residents have been hard at work sewing vibrant costumes for Tiger Creek Elementary School’s chorus production of Moana. From flowing island-inspired skirts to colorful character details, every piece has been made with creativity and heart.

Giving back has always been part of who we are, and projects like this bring so much joy. Our residents are sharing their time and talents to help these students shine on stage, while creating a special connection between generations.

When we support our local schools, we invest in creativity, confidence, and the future of our community. 🌺🌊

Break a leg, Tiger Creek chorus. We can’t wait to see you shine. 🎭
