Your throat chakra governs the thyroid gland. It is unbalanced when you are unable to stand in your truth, when you have to keep secrets, watch your words and avoid conflicts. The throat chakra governs listening as well as speaking: allowing others to be in their truth even when you don’t agree with them, but respect their right to disagree with you. Imbalances in the throat chakra can lead to thyroid issues, throat issues, coughs and loss of hearing.

I was having a mental dilemma yesterday after fighting with someone on the phone. I knew I was right and they were wrong but of course they knew they were right and I was wrong. This was causing me a lot of mental anguish because it was something close to my heart. Synchronistically, a teaching of Thich Nhat Hanh, the Buddhist monk who taught us how to handle suffering, came up in my video feed immediately after I hung up the phone. Immediately. He said: look at a pencil. It has a right side and a left side. It can only exist with both a right side and a left side. For without the left side, the pencil would disappear and there would be no right side. Therefore the left side needs the right side and the right side needs the left side otherwise the pencil cannot exist. I thought about this all night. Today I feel better. I still think I’m right of course 🤪😇🙃 but so are they.

“Manipura” the third chakra, seat of your personal power, personal boundaries and your inner light, connects to the digestive system through the pancreas endocrine gland. Imbalance in this chakra can manifest as anxiety, depression, digestive issues, intestinal issues, lack of assimilation and absorption of essential nutrients. When balanced you feel in command, you flow with what life brings and confident in your abilities. When out of balance you feel forced to do things against your will, bullied, or like you have lost control of a situation.
