Douglas Appel, DPM
Dr. Appel graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology and Sociology. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Appel then completed a three year residency program in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Morristown Medical Center of the Atlantic Health System serving as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Appel specializes in foot and ankle reconstruction and trauma, sports medicine, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care. He has extensive training in arthroscopic surgery and treatment of foot and ankle pathologies. Dr. Appel is board qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in both Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle surgery.
