AI is still new to Medical Affairs, but it’s here, and the opportunity is massive. Healthcare data is exploding, creating a chance for MSLs to transform how decisions are made and insights are delivered.

The reality? Most teams are just scratching the surface. Analytics capabilities are limited, AI adoption is slow, and progress is inconsistent. MSL leaders can no longer wait to adapt, digital fluency is no longer optional; it’s essential.

Here’s the emerging focus for forward-thinking MSLs:
- Build end-to-end analytics capabilities so insights flow seamlessly from R&D to field teams.

- Integrate AI into everyday decisions, from quantifying HCP education needs to measuring engagement impact.

- Automate non-core tasks by freeing time to focus on strategic, high-value initiatives.

👉This is where BCMAS® sets MSLs apart. The program embeds digital fluency, compliant frameworks, and insight-driven competencies, preparing professionals to not just use AI, but lead with it. BCMAS® professionals turn data into strategy, influence decisions, and shape the future of Medical Affairs.

The future of MSLs isn’t about managing data, it’s about mastering it. That’s the BCMAS® Effect. Step ahead of the curve and lead the AI-powered evolution in Medical Affairs.

: Shontelle Dodson, Executive Vice President, Global Head Medical Affairs, Astellas Pharma

Medical Affairs does not earn a seat at the table by default. It earns it through strategic fluency, executive alignment, and measurable enterprise impact.

Join Shontelle Dodson, EVP & Global Head of Medical Affairs, Astellas Pharma, as she shares what it actually takes to champion Medical Affairs at the highest level of leadership.

Why this session matters:

• She has led both Commercial and Medical organizations at the executive level, giving her a rare, cross-functional lens on how strategy is shaped, funded, and defended inside the C-suite.

• With 11 years of Medical Affairs leadership at Pfizer and VP experience at GTx, she understands which Medical Affairs outputs truly influence enterprise decisions and which do not.

• As a board member of the National Pharmaceutical Council and the Society for Women’s Health Research, she brings a policy, governance, and industry-wide perspective on how credibility is built beyond the organization.

You will learn how to shift from scientific language to executive language, how to position Medical Affairs as a strategic driver, and how to build alignment that withstands scrutiny.
