Is there a link between Ozempic and kidney stones? There are no long-term clinical studies yet, so we can’t say for certain. But in the short term, Ozempic can cause dehydration—and dehydration is a leading cause of kidney stones.
If you're prone to stones and taking Ozempic, make sure you're staying hydrated. Aim for around 100 oz of water a day to help protect your kidneys.

Did you know certain medications can increase your risk of kidney stones? Drugs like topiramate (often used for migraines or seizures) and some diuretics can change how your body processes minerals—raising your chance of stone formation.
If you’re on these medications and have a history of kidney stones, talk to your doctor. There may be ways to lower your risk while still getting the treatment you need.

What is a metabolic workup? This test can help solve the mystery behind recurring kidney stones. It starts with blood work, a stone analysis, and a special at-home urine collection kit that helps us understand how your lifestyle and diet may be contributing to stone formation. With this insight, we can create a personalized plan to help prevent stones from coming back.
