Letting someone into your parent's home is not a small thing.
I know that.
It's why every single caregiver we bring on goes through extensive interviews, provides five references, passes a background check, and completes a medical evaluation — before they ever meet a client.
But honestly? The vetting process is just the starting point. What I look for beyond the paperwork is character.
Are they patient?
Do they genuinely enjoy being around older adults?
Will they treat your mom the way you would?
I've been doing this long enough to know the difference — and I won't send someone I wouldn't trust in my own family's home.
If you've had a bad experience with a caregiver before, I want to hear about it. It helps me understand exactly what you need.
