Jane Robertson Hein

Jane Robertson Hein was born on January 8,1928 and was the only daughter to a gregarious seamstress and a quiet factory worker. She spent her youth on Merrick St. with Elm Park as her playground. She attended Classical High School and Salter Secretarial School. Jane married her high school crush, the "tall, handsome and clever ", Robert Hein in 1948. Together, they lived in Worcester, Paxton and Petersham, where they raised three children and had an exploding scrapbook of friends, cultivated and lasting a lifetime.

Jane was an active member of The Paxton Congregational Church, the Girl Scouts, a longtime member of the Petersham Craft Center and The Historical Society of Early American Decorative Painters. Outside of her beautifully painted home, she exhibited and sold her art in Kennebunkport Maine, Portsmouth, NH and Petersham, MА.

Jane is predeceased by her daughters Linda (30) and Janice (35) and her husband Bob (73).

She is survived by her son Donald R. and his wife Denise from Holden. Until her recent visit to Rehab, Jane was still baking every day, reading Harry Truman's biography, getting through the T&G from cover to cover, and painting an oil of Nubble Light House. Jane was pure simple joy, living her best life, always in the moment.

Funeral services will be private.

Mary Jane "Janie" Corliss

Mary Jane “Janie” Corliss, 84, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Willard Corliss, who passed in 2018, and by her parents, Michael and Winona (Smith) DiMego.

A woman of curiosity and adventure, Janie traveled the world with her family, making homes in Texas, Japan, Florida, Indiana, and ultimately returning to her beloved Massachusetts. Her passion for antiques grew into a thriving career, including many cherished years running her shop in Lunenburg. Later, she and Will became familiar and well‑loved faces at the Hollis Flea Market, where they spent decades building friendships and sharing their expertise.

Janie was the quiet force behind the family’s many entrepreneurial ventures—bars, a restaurant, and rental properties—managing the finances with skill, dedication, and an unwavering work ethic. Yet her greatest joy was always her family. Nothing delighted her more than a visit from one of her three children, seven grandchildren, or six great‑grandchildren; she lit up in their presence.

A lifelong reader and crossword‑puzzle enthusiast, Janie nurtured a sharp mind and a generous heart.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Glenn Corliss and his wife Ellen of Leominster, MA; her daughter Heidi Gworek and her husband Jim of Springfield, VT; and her son Keith Corliss of Lunenburg, MA. She is also survived by her brothers, David DiMego of Austin, TX, and Geoff DiMego of the Washington, D.C. area.

Mary Jane’s warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family will be cherished always. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Services will be private.

Michael (Mike) Miskowski

Michael James (Mike) Miskowski went home to God very unexpectedly on April 17, 2026.

He was born on March 27, 1956, in Scranton, PA. He went into the US Navy in 1976 as a sonarman and spent his career on 6 different submarines, his 2 favorites being the Dace and the Francis Scott Key. After the Navy, he spent some time in the Army National Guard to make up for his 20 years of service to his country. He then took a tractor-trailer driving course with Schneider Trucking and earned his CDL; for the last 30+ years, he had worked at Road Scholar Transport in Dunmore, PA, where he retired from just recently on April 1, 2026.

Michael was an extremely intelligent man. He could fix just about anything, including his car. He loved fishing, live music concerts, 80s music, square dancing with the Quabbin Valley Twirlers of Ludlow, traveling, camping, baseball, including the Boston and Worcester Red Sox and the Worcester Bravehearts. He found the love of his life and best friend in 2010 when he met Barbara. Together, they were ardent foodies and enjoyed many great meals attributed to Phantom Gourmet recommendations. She brought him into her family and gave him a new title: Papa. Having had no children of his own, he took on babysitting the littles, ages 5 and 2. He also took the 2 older boys, ages 12 and 11, fishing and enjoyed their baseball games.

He is survived by his 92-year-old mother, Lee McHugh, sister Trish (Joe) Killinger, sister Kathy (David) Thorne, and brother Paul (Laura) McHugh. He leaves the love of his life and partner Barbara Nutting, her son Ricky (Jena) Nutting, and 4 grandbaby boys: Zuryiah 12, Chayton 11, Noah 5, and Barrett (Bear) 2. He also leaves behind his best buddy, Max, his Australian Shepherd. Mike’s love of Aussies and Barbara’s love of Greyhounds joined together to dedicate their lives to animal rescue. He also leaves Doughy and Allie greyhounds and Daisy the Beagle, along with Bella and Bailey, Siamese cats.

He was predeceased by his brother Jim Miskowski and his dad, Jack McHugh.

In lieu of flowers, he would want donations sent to Greyhound Friends, any animal rescue group, or the Veterans Association in memory of Michael Miskowski.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 6 to 8 pm in the Mack Family Funeral Home, Athol-Orange Chapel, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, he would want donations sent to Greyhound Friends, any animal rescue group, or the Veterans Association.

Lenard E. Lucier

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the peaceful passing of Lenard Everett Lucier on April 12th, 2026.

He will be lovingly remebered by his wife of 27 years, Patricia (Lyman) Lawton, daughters: Molly Lucier (Craig Ferguson), Julie Lucier (Christian Dibble) and Kate Smith; grandchildren; Birch, Cypress, and Linden Ambrose, Soleme' and Everly Dibble; sisters; Ada Lepage and Carol Eaton along with many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers Henry, Earle, Butch, Nelson and sisters Helen, Francies, Ruth, Rose, and son-in-law Toby Smith.

Len was born in Gardner on June 17th 1947 to Henry and Jennie Lucier of Templeton, MA, the 2nd to youngest of 11 siblings. Immediately after graduating from Narragansett Regional High School in 1966 he enlisted in the Army, serving in Europe driving transport trucks during the Vietnam War. Upon his return to the area he lived in Phillipston on a small farm raising Molly and Julie with his former wife, Jacqueline (m. Ambrose). Over the years he cleared land and built a barn (by himself). He enjoyed having large gardens, many animals, and tinkering in the barn after work with oldies on the radio. There were annual New Years Day hikes in the woods, cows and pigs being born, trips to get hay, swimming at Queen Lake, and week long trips to the beach.

In 1993 Len met Pat and moved back to Templeton where he lovingly took in Kate as his youngest daughter. He built a koi pond with a double waterfall and continued his gardening there. He worked with local hvac companies his entire career as an oil burner technician and service manager. With the help of Pat, he started his own business 'Lenny's Heating.' They have great memories of going to weekend long bluegrass festivals, meeting new people on thier cruise, visiting Mayan ruins, snorkeling, kayaking in the ocean, and more beach trips with the growing family. There were also road trips to visit Molly and her family in Virginia. Len loved life, gardening (not to exclude composting), bluegrass music, dancing, and telling a good story or joke. No one could match his delivery of a good joke, including practical jokes.

He enjoyed helping people and everyone loved him. When he went out to lunch or made a quick trip to the store, it often took 2-3 hours, running into family, friends and customers. He touched the lives of many with his unique sense of humor, blend of warmth, wisdom, and sincerity. He will be affectionately remembered.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11 am in the Mack Family Funeral Home, Gardner Chapel, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are invited to donate to Montachusett Vererans Outreach Center or charity of their choice in Lenny's name.

Mary H. Beasley

Mary H. Beasley, born September 2, 1949, in Oxford, N.C., graced this world with her vibrant spirit for over 76 years.

Mary's life was a testament to resilience, grace, and unwavering dedication to her craft. Mary was a valued member of the community, known for her humility, quick wit, and infectious laughter. She spent a significant part of her life working as a Machine Operator at L.S. Starrett Company, a tool manufacturer where her tireless work ethic and attention to detail were greatly admired.

Mary was a woman of simple pleasures. Her passion for music was second to none; she loved nothing more than losing herself in the rhythm and beats of live performances. The echoes of these melodies were a reminder of Mary's zest for life and the joy she derived from it. A fiercely independent woman, she never married, choosing instead to live life in her own unique way.

Her loved ones will remember her as a beacon of light, a source of strength, and a woman whose laughter could brighten the gloomiest of days. Mary is survived by her beloved brothers, Russell and Robert Beasley and two nieces, Michelle Lewis and Lynn Beasley. She joins in eternal peace her parents, Russel Beasley and Helen (Risatti), her longtime companion, James Young and her doting sister Judy Lewis.

We invite friends and loved ones to visit Mary's memorial page where you are encouraged to leave memories of Mary and upload photographs below that capture the moments that made her life special. Her story is not just in the past, but also in the memories that we carry forward.

A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Mary's life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Gethsemane Cemetery, Fielding Way, Athol, MA.

Mack Family Funeral Homes, Athol-Orange Chapel, 110 New Athol Road, Orange, MA, is honored to serve the family.
