Yesterday we celebrated the career and accomplishments of our very own JD Nelson who is now enjoying his retirement. JD served as our air medical pilot since 2006 and had been the only lead pilot at LifeNet 3-Orangeburg. JD, thanks for all the years of leadership and dedication to the air medical industry and for taking care of our flight crews and patients!

Stephen’s journey with Orangeburg County EMS is a great example of dedication and hard work. He started with us as a part-time Advanced EMT, went on to earn his Paramedic, was promoted to Lieutenant, and now steps into the role of Captain.

We’re proud of his growth, leadership, and commitment to serving our community. Congratulations, Captain Hughes — well deserved! 🚑👏
