Trying something new...
I’m starting a rhythm I’ve been dreaming of for a while now, a combination of so many books I cherish and natures own messages. I am starting...little love notes called The Mother’s Almanac.
They’re rooted in the lunar cycle, the Wheel of the Year, and the slow, sacred work of mothering — the kind that happens in kitchens and hearts and quiet moments after bedtime.
I really don’t know if I’ll post one every day. Or even every week.
But I’m showing up tonight. And maybe that’s enough.
🌙 The Mother’s Almanac🌙
July 6th
The week begins not with a bang, but with a breath.
Tonight, under a waxing gibbous moon, glowing at 85%... we step into the week of tending. Not rushing. Not perfecting. Thankful for just slowly turning the soil, gently checking on what’s already been planted.
The Buck Moon is coming — full on July 9–10. You'd think babies come on the full moon, and they do, but they prefer the darker moons. Full moon illuminate and you may already feel its pull, brightening your inner sky, stirring your intuition, calling you to check in.
And just ahead, the first harvest awaits: Lughnasadh arrives August 1.
Twenty-six days from now, we cross another threshold — celebrating effort, ripening, and the quiet gold of summer’s work.
So tonight my friends, I bring a message from the overdue babies in Midwifery land...
We invite you to slow down with us.
Savor this moment in and of itself. Light a candle. Put something warm in your belly.
Tend just one corner of your world.
It’s enough. For tonight, it's enough.
What’s asking to be tended right now in your world?
